What to expect at a Evangelical Free Church (EFK) service

How long: 1–1.5 hours.
Standing & sitting: Informal. Many stand during the worship songs.
Communion: Usually open to everyone who believes in Jesus, often once or twice a month. The bread and cup are frequently passed along the rows.
If you belong to another church: Catholics and Orthodox Christians are asked by their own churches not to receive Communion in free churches. Just let the bread and cup pass and take part in everything else. Nobody will mind.
What to wear: Casual.
Good to know: Coffee after the service is a big part of church life. Most churches run groups for young adults during the week.
