- How long
- About an hour on Sundays, 30 minutes on weekdays.
- Standing & sitting
- Standing, sitting and kneeling at set moments. Simply follow those around you.
- Communion
- Catholics who are prepared receive Communion. Christians of other churches are asked not to receive. This is a sign that the churches are not yet fully united, not a judgement on anyone's faith. Everyone is warmly welcome to come forward with arms crossed over the chest for a blessing, or to stay seated.
- If you belong to another church
- Orthodox and other Eastern Christians may receive Communion in a Catholic church if they ask and are prepared, though their own church usually asks them not to. If you are a Catholic visiting another church, the Catholic Church asks you not to receive Communion in Protestant churches (Church of Sweden, Anglican, free churches), even where you are welcomed. In Orthodox churches, Communion is reserved for Orthodox Christians.
- What to wear
- No dress code. Neat everyday clothes are fine.
- Good to know
- Confession is often offered before weekend Masses. Check each parish's times.
